Traditional phone lines are typically not required. The i4C.Tel platform communicates externally using secure VoIP connectivity over internet-based services.
We do recommend maintaining at least one traditional line in cases where a physical fax machine or certain alarm systems are in use, although many modern alarm systems now utilize cellular communication instead.
i4C.Tel is a hosted solution, however we do provide an on-premises solution too! 95% of our customers, including healthcare facilities where communications are mission-critical are fine and happy on our hosted platform. There are occasions where we have installations where we must place a physical unit on premises. This could be for integration with a bell system at a school or an insanely large installation with over 1000 extensions.
